We are one of South Africa's most experienced custom window treatment specialists —Founded by Jacqueline Turner (Jackie), we design, supply, and install custom-made blinds and shutters for homes, offices, hospitals, schools, restaurants, and government buildings across South Africa.

We began our journey in the blinds and shutters industry in the later 1990s and In Style Blinds launched as a dedicated brand in 2016 and was officially registered in 2019. That gives us over 27 years of combined industry experience — making us one of South Africa's most experienced blind and shutter specialists.

Gift (Mpho) personally oversees customers in Gauteng and assists with product selections and we have a dedicated team in the Western Cape, Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha), and Durban. Gift is our dedicated repair technician handling all blind repairs and installations across Gauteng, Pretoria, Kroonstad, and surrounding areas — and he measures to perfection.

We supply three main shutter types:
White PVC Shutters — completely waterproof, ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, and coastal homes.
Basswood Timber Shutters — premium real wood with natural grain, available in hinge, bipass, and bifold configurations.
Aluminium Security Shutters — a modern, elegant alternative to burglar bars, corrosion-resistant and backed by a 10-year warranty.

A double roller blind mounts two different fabric blinds on a single bracket — typically a shadeweave at the back and a blockout at the front. During the day, lower the shadeweave for filtered natural light and a clear outside view. At night or for complete privacy, lower the blockout for total darkness. Two fabrics, one bracket, infinite light control.

Yes. We offer motorised blinds across our full range with wire-free rechargeable motors, plug-and-play systems, remote control, and smartphone app control. Our systems integrate with Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Apple Siri — control your blinds with your voice. Programme schedules so blinds open at sunrise and close at dusk automatically.
Yes. Our LuxSol outdoor roller blinds are designed for South African conditions — filtering sun, blocking wind and rain, while keeping your view completely intact. Height-adjustable from halfway to floor level via smooth crank handle. Hold-down brackets keep the blind secure in coastal wind. Motorised options are also available for patios, balconies, braai areas, and entertainment spaces.
Yes. We supply Medi+ Care certified healthcare blinds — antimicrobial, fire-rated to AS1530.2, NFPA701, and EN13501-1 standards, humidity-resistant, and easy to wipe clean for infection control. Child-friendly prints are available for paediatric wards. We are proud to supply Kroonstad Hospital and clinics across South Africa.
For coastal homes we recommend Ecoplas Wood or Zenwood faux wood venetians (moisture-resistant, will not warp), white PVC shutters (completely waterproof), aluminium venetian blinds (rust-proof), and waterproof PVC-coated roller blinds. For patios, LuxSol outdoor blinds are specifically designed for coastal wind and rain. We advise against real Basswood venetians in high-humidity coastal environments.

The safest options are cordless roller blinds, motorised blinds with zero hanging cords, and wand-operated venetian and vertical blinds. Our motorised systems eliminate all dangling cords completely — removing the strangulation risk in homes with young children or pets. We offer SANS-compliant cordless and motorised options across our full range.

Yes. We offer evening appointments and Saturday consultations and installations because we understand most of our clients work during the day. We work around your schedule, not ours. Business hours are Monday–Friday 08:00–18:00 and Saturday 09:00–14:00, with after-hours requests accommodated regularly.
Standard residential orders typically take 5–10 working days from order confirmation to installation. We give you a clear, committed timeline during your consultation — and we stick to it. Commercial and government projects are quoted with specific lead times per project.
Absolutely. We clean as we work — removing drill dust, packaging, offcuts, and all installation waste before we leave. We use the correct screws and wall plugs for each surface type for maximum holding strength and minimal surface damage. We leave your space exactly as we found it — except with beautiful new blinds.
Yes. We have completed large-scale commercial and government installations including 138 blinds at the Eastern Cape Treasury in Bhisho. We provide volume discounts, BOQ documentation for tender submissions, Green Building Council specifications, and fire-rated fabrics for SANS compliance.

Our dedicated repair technician Gift professionally repairs broken slats, snapped or tangled cords, faulty tilt mechanisms, worn roller mechanisms, and damaged louvres across all major blind types. We believe in restoring what still has value — saving you money and reducing waste. Repairs are available across East London, Pretoria, and greater Gauteng.
